I have a Necromancer in my group and I'm wondering if animate dead breaks the game / ruins the game for other players. I'm basing my information on.Controlling 16 skeletons or zombies in every combat (granted none of them die) at level 6 seems incredibly broken / unfun for all the other players.Does anyone have any experience running a game with a necromancer taking full advantage of this spell? Please do not downvote people for having differing opinions about this. I want to hear everyone's take on it, whether you've banned the spell from your game or everyone in the group loved it.Edit: Excellent answers, thanks all!. The 'incorrect' part of it isn't having the zombies, it's the risk of you dying and losing your control over them-now there's an uncontrolled mob of feral zombies.
Fixing Myrkheimr didn't bring back the dead. She attended the mass funeral with her hair loose around her shoulders and wearing the one black dress she'd.
Any anti-necromancy (the raise dead kind, not the spare the dying kind) laws were probably created with that scenario in mind.Edit: Imagine if Iron Man's power core thing exploded in a horrible nuclear blast upon his death. Sure, a personal arc reactor could be put to great use while Tony Stark is alive, but if he dies, he just killed everybody around him too.
